Candidates with English as a second language

Candidates with English as a second language and CELTA requirements

We do appreciate that applicants in general possess a very high level of English.   However, those whose first language is not English, may find the rigours and stresses of the CELTA course difficult. The course requires the ability to produce accurate spoken and written English to an extremely high level and to be able to read and assimilate written material in a demanding and dynamic academic environment.

Therefore, applicants who do not possess a recent (within the last 2 years) international certificate (IELTS, CAE, CPE) that verifies their level of spoken and written English, will need to complete a level test at our institute prior to the interview (1 hour approximately).

Those applicants who are not currently residing in Argentina will be interviewed first and will be advised at that time whether an appropriate certificate of English (see above) is required.
